Sister for Audrey and Evelyn

We are expecting our third daughter later this year and are having trouble coming up with a name to match Audrey and Evelyn. We love classic, vintage names so would love any suggestions along those lines.

Surname starts with H and we want to avoid J and B as first initials too.

I love your girls' names! You and I seem to have a similar style, so I'll suggest some names I like and think go well with Audrey and Evelyn.

Clara

Claire*

Frances

Grace*

Iris

Isabel

Josephine

Julia*

June

Leah*

Louise/Louisa

Lucy*/Lucille

Mabel

Madeline*/Madeleine

Matilda

Nora

Rose

Rosalie

Sophie*

Stella*

*- appeared in 2012 top 100.

Since Audrey and Evelyn are both top 100 names, I'm guessing popularity isn't a very big factor for you, which opens up a lot of great options :) I wasn't sure if you were bothered by repeating A or E initials, so I left them out, but I'd be happy to suggest some A and E names if you don't mind matching initials. Hope you see some you like, and good luck!

Thanks for those, while we aren't averse to top 100 names, we are trying to avoid the top 50 (and definitely no top 10!). I'm based in Australia so our top ranking names are slightly different too I think.

Yes would like to avoid A and E as well. So many of those name suggestions are from our family, we obviously have a style!

Some of these may be too common in Australia, as they are in parts of the U.S., but they seem to be roughly of the same vintage as Audrey and Evelyn:

Lilian

Lorraine

Florence

Frances

Ruth

Marion

Vivian (unlike a lot of people, I prefer it spelled Vivienne, but think Vivian goes better with your other two)

Rosalie

Rosalind

Cecily or Cecile

Helen

Jocelyn

Hazel

Harriet

I love your daughters' names - both were on my list but we had boys instead.

I like the suggestions of Harriet, Vivian, Frances, Mabel and Clara above. How about Sylvia, Greta or Vera?

It's a shame E names are out as I also really like Elsa and Edith/Edie.

I love both of those names!  We have a Benjamin and a Lucia (loo-see-uh).  Audrey was our girl name for Ben if it was a girl... and right now I'm expecting our 3rd in 7 weeks and Evelyn is in the mix for the girl names (we're not finding out)

I also really love Cora, Estella, Cecelia, and Clara.  I like vintage classic names that aren't too trendy but aren't considered odd too.

Other names I think go with your sibset: Scarlett, Rose or Rosalie, Alice, Lillian, Nora, Violet

Good luck!!
