Sister for Carys

Looks like we'll be having a girl come December. DD is Carys J0sephine, last name is Hanl0n. My name is Lara and I love it - one of the reasons we picked Carys is because it reminded me of Lara with it's popularity, femininity, charm, etc.

- Don't want another C name
- Real names and spellings only (ok, except for Everly, sigh)
- Out of top 10, would prefer similar popularity to Carys, but all the names on my list now are more popular, since Carys is outside of the top 1000.
- Middle name options: Marie, Ann, Caroline, Renee, Rae, Katherine
- Doesn't start with H or end with en/on/in/an sound (particularly if it's two syllables, not a fan of the rhyming with Hanl0n)

Other names on the list - all of which I like but none of which I LOVE -

Adeline, Adele, Adella (nn Della?)
Alia
Alice Anna (double name)
Anneliese
Audrey Elise
Briony
Elena (NN Lena)
Eliana (NN Elia)
Elisa/Elise/Eliza/Elsa
Elodie/Ellody
Emilia
Emmeline/Emmelina (Emme)
Everly
Felicity
Lucia
Natalia
Rosalie
Scout
Simone
Story (this is my guilty pleasure name that I don't think I'd ever have the balls to use)

Looking for faves from this list but ALSO for new suggestions!

Oh, I love most of your list. :-) I would be hard pressed to choose (although it would narrow quickly once my husband was involved--which is why naming girls is so hard for us).

Some thoughts:

Stacia
Mira
Lydia
Eloise
Louisa
Mavis
Marisa

FYI--Anneliese is outside the top 1000 also.

Oh--and I personally prefer the 4 syllable Anneliese pronunciation.

Of the names on your list, my favorites with Carys are probably Adele, Audrey, Eliza & Felicity.  Everly isn't a bad match either, though it's not really my style.  I'd like Alice a lot better if it were a stand alone name, or perhaps paired with something simpler.  Alice-Anna is kind of a mouthful for me.

Normally, I like Annaliese & Elise, but I'm not crazy about the way they sound next to Carys.  The matching "s" endings I think.  Scout for me is in the same category as Story-nice in theory, but not names I would want as my given name.

I'm kind of lukewarm on your other options.  Nothing I particularly dislike, I just don't care for them as much as Adele, Audrey, Eliza & Felicity.

I'll suggest Amelia, Lucy, Rose, Lyla, Verity, Isabel, Nora & Gemma.

My favorites from your list are Adele, Adela (I pref. one L here), Briony, Eliza, Elsa, Elodie, Emmeline, and Rosalie.  I think any one of these would be absolutely lovely and make a great sister to Carys.  I also really like Natalia, but it doesn't quite fit with Carys to me.  I will also add (or second) suggestions for Eloise, Isla, Imogen, Eve, Amelia, Fiona, Willa, Lena, Tabitha, Matilda, Althea, Rosalind.

I love Carys and think many of the names on list work well.  My favourites are Adeline, Adele, Elodie, Emmeline, Lucia and Rosalie.  I like Story and Everly in theory but they are a different style, I think they can work though.

Briony, Felicity, Anneliese, Simone, Elise/Eliza also wor for me, I just prefer the others.

My other thoughts: Isla, Adelaide, Eirlys, Lucinda, Nora, Zara, Amity, Annika, Juliet, Genevieve, Imogen, Zinnia

Great list!!

I really like Anneliese, Felicity, and Rosalie.

From other's suggestions, I like Lydia (it's picking up in popularity, though), Verity, and Amity.

I'll toss my daughter's name as a suggestion - Sylvia. Her middle name is Caron which is similar to Carys, so of course I think they go together.
