Thoughts on 'Scout' for a Girl...

I have two boys named Marshal and Cohen and am expecting a little girl in July. My husband and I are having a very difficult time with a girls name! Before I knew it was a girl I really considered Scout for a girls name but after finding out the gender I wondered if it is maybe too masculine and not feminine enough? That being said I do tend to like more unisex masculine sounding names for a girl. Perhaps a result of my own name being Jordan! Our last name ends in "er" so I need to stay away from first names that end with those letters. I'd just like some opinions on the name Scout, as I do have mixed feelings. ALlo open to suggestions. If I ran into the name "Scout", I'd assume the owner was a girl; it is an androgynous name, but the most famous one is Scout Finch -- so that is where my mind would go.

Yes, first Scout Finch, then Scout Willis.

I tend to agree with previous posters. Scout can go either way but I'd probably assume girl before boy. I definitely think it works for a girl and is good match with the other siblings.
