Tricky name for big brother!

We're trying to decide sibling names (brother or sister) for our son, Quaid, and are totally stuck! We're trying to conceive now, and we struggled with Quaid's name, and would like to be prepared this time

Do you have a short list or a bit more information to go on other than your other son's name?

I presume you would like another initial to set the next ones apart. How about some basic preferences, long, short, classic, modern etc?

Have you tried the name finding tools on here yet? I'd advise you do, and give us some examples of names you might like otherwise it's just a stab in the dark.

We chose Quaid because it's short, sweet, and my last name (Hogan) is very Irish. We like unique names, but are really open to suggestions!

I like the names Madelyn and Kinsley for a girl, for example. And Quinn and Xayden for a boy.

ITA with Vicheria. Why did you choose Quaid? Nickname proof? Short and sweet? Love the "Q"? You wanted an Irish name? Help us point our compasses in the right direction. :-)

I agree with the others that more info would be helpful. But if you "like the Q" then maybe you would like Z. For a boy, what about Zane? Zayna for a girl?

Zane popped to mind for me as well.

Have you looked for surnames on your family tree? Is Quaid a family name or just something you liked?

Boys: Kingston, Beckett, Cruz, Chance, Zeke, Ridley, Ronan, Knox, Ryder, Ryker

Girls: Ainsley, Finley, Aria, Brooklyn, Story, Everly, Adalyn, Riley,

I'll be honest-your girls' names just strike me as cute and modern-much less style specific than your boys', so I just took a stab at it.

Let us know if any of these are close, and we can help more.

Is there a reason you can't use any of the ones you've mentioned liking?

I love all the names you listed so maybe our styles are similar? Quails was on our short list for our son as we have a McQuaid surname in our family history. Other names we liked:

Boys: Solomon, Jude, Raleigh, Porter, Ezra, Niko

Girls: Tenley, Kaia, Amelie, Tessa, Bellamy, Laila

good luck!
