I always think girl when I think of the name Quinn. That said, my son is a teacher and had a boy Quinn last year in his class. It is one of my favorite girl names, by the way.

I've always thought of Emerson as a boy's name. Maybe I'm not with it anymore.

I like Zoey a lot, but without the y. But that is just me.

Why did you make fun of the names Robyn and Anne? It seems you did the very thing that you are accusing them of doing.

When you decided to use a name you made up, you are bound to get comments. It's natural. It's a different name from what they had heard before. If you love the name, that's all that should count. Everyone has opinions on names. That is normal.

For a middle name - maybe Simon Cordell.

I don't think you should be afraid of using the name Simon. It's a wonderful name. I don't know any children, or adults for that matter, with the name Simon. Maybe it's not popular in the north.

I like Quinn and Harper the best. My second choice - Grace and Maizie. You've made a great list.
