In Response to Writers we should read

I think J.K. Rowling chooses excellent names for her characters, everything fits well.

I think it would be rather interesting to have a character whose name did not reflect on them but on their parents. Has anyone seen anything like that?

Yes, being able to read and pronounce Hebrew, I know it should have a CH... sorry!

Thank you for being a Jewish naming authority, it is very helpful for this kind of thing

Sorry, unearthing an old thread...

The Expert voyager can find names with certain endings. Is that cheating? Should these all be from our minds?

About Orly-- when my mom was doing the entry for the name Orly in her book, all she got when she typed "Orly" into google was the O rly? owl :)

Very pretty! Heron is distinguished yet sweet. I personally like Helena, or Hava for other H names. (Plus Hava has a nice Hebrew meaning, and could be used as a hebrew name if not given.) Hera for a nickname is cool in my mind-- a Greek godess and androgynous bird name all in one! Fantastic!

In Response to Thoughts on Bria

I think that Brianna does not scream 80s or 90s. I don't quite understand the history question. But I think Bria/Bree/Brianna is very pretty and would be a lovely choice.

Eva Marie or Julia Marie are my choices.... (althugh I was using the expert matchmaker, is that cheating?)

FYI, a tilda is that little symbol at the far upper right of the keyboard that looks like this: ~

maybe you knew that, but that's my first impression of Tilda

Yeah, reverse is nice. Maddeningly, all my friends' surnames start with F! Very annoying.

Emma Sophia is awesome. I think it is because I know so many wonderful Emmas that I feel that way, but there it is.
