we have been married for a year and before that dated for 2 and a half years, so yes, you could say we are fairly new. Actually, we met through my Dad-He worked at the same place. He used to say my dad was his role model. Your probabley right, I think it has been too much. It is our first babies- we are having twins. So, I geuss we won't get a lot of alone time. Also, now that i think about it, it has made me a little tense now that they come over so often. Maybe just one day on the weekend, every other weekend, and without dinner twice aweek. I will ask him tonight about what he really thinks about it.

I like Arlo and Hugo, but my husband does'nt think there 'children names'. Out of these my Favourites(that I could actually use) are Mina, Tamsin, Caro, and Alice. I like Caro and Alice for middle names, and it happens that my Aunt who died last years name was Mina, and we could honor her with this.

I also like Harper for a girl.

I am not a fan of priscilla or cilla, it makes me think of fish. As for vinny, I just don't like it. I agree, i wouldn't want to name her after anyone in Old yeller.

I actually like Rae the best out of these. I've always liked it, but with the spelling Rey, and then star wars came out and I didn't want her to be named after a star wars charactor. I never really thought of changing the spelling to make it different... now I feel sort of dumb =).

In Response to Boy #2

i hope your doing alright chasing around two boys that have no father! I hope you have help from family. I glad that the boys get along, or that would be a nightmare! You are off to a great start, keep it up! I hope little Bo has a good childhood.

My husband did bring up the name Agnes a couple months ago...Then he said he didn't want two A names. I feel like Jane is too common, and although I like Lucy, our last name starts with an L and has a c in it.

I know someone with a daughter named Nell at my work, and I don't want her to think that I'm using her name. Audrey would not work becuse of the a, even thugh it is very different from Arliss.

Some other books I like:

Old Yeller (thats where I got Arliss)

A dogs purpose

Johnny Tremain

Although Bennett sounds boyish, I went to college with a girl named Bennett, but I wouldn't want to name her that anyways. As for Scout, I am not going to use, because a lady just moved in accross the street, and she has a dog named scout.

I was looking at your suggestions, and came accros Lunete. It reminded me of the Harry potter Luna lovegood. I thought maybe I could use Lunete and call her Luna.

I have never known how to pronounce Eowyn.

I have also seen multiple sites where Arliss is Hebrew meaning Promise/Pledge, but I've also seen it where it's Irish. However, I have not seen anywhere the meaning 'earless'. I think this information is innaccurute, and I wonder if maybe you were looking at the wrong site?

I like Sarah-Jane and Sarah-Grace. would you be willing to have Sarah as the last part of it?

I also like Sarah-May and Sarah-Fay. Sarah-Fay is is my favorite from your list.

I like Avis the best-but I'm sort of drawn to short names that start with A. If you want your family to be able to say it clearer, I think Dorothy. Vesper makes me think of snakes, I don't know why. How about Elvera or verna? Or Ava or Ivy?

Thanks! I thought through it again, and decided that it would be cofusing if they both had Arl names. I also checked some other sites, and it looks like you were right, it doesn't mean pledge/promise. I think I will do a literary name for her from one of my favourite books, like to kill a mockingbird, the time travelers wife, or pride and prejudice. Although I wouldn't want to name her Clare, or Elizabeth, Scout could work as a middle name, and Bennet is good, but it sounds like a boys name.

I like Jacob for a middle name. But, I still perfer Jack because my Family has used that name for a while. I looked over our family tree with my husband, and, we found the name Arlene. It is an 'A' name, but we liked it. I looked it up, and turns out, it means Plegde, just like Arliss. I thought that it was really interesting, and I talked my husband into naming our girl that. It will be nice for them to have that connection

I think that is very cute that your son did this for you. Are you going to consider the names?

We are jewish, but I didn't realize that Arliss was hebrew. I like Talia, but my sister-in-law is named that, and my husband doesn't like the idea of naming after siblings. We didn't like Charlotte because we perfer less common names and Laney sounded to much like my nephews name.

For Arliss I like the idea of a family middle name. My fathers name is Jack, and that was his fathers name, and his fathers name, and his fathers name, but he didn't have a son to pass the name onto, so that could possibley work for Arliss's middle name.

I love to read. giving my daughter a literary name would be very cool. I don't know if my husband would agree to this, but I like it.
