Yes! This is how I read them too - but I also have a bad habbit of watching too many crime dramas and reading into things that just aren't there.
I appreciate that people are saying it doesn't need to be a dealbreaker. We are also considering the double-middle name because that would honor both grandfathers. My husband doesn't see it at all and doesn't understand why I would shy away from it.
We are not really initial people, so I may be overthinking - but I just needed some unbiased, fresh eyes on the subject. Thank you so much everyone!!!
I am definitely a believer in middle names with a meaning. i think for me, family names are the way we will likely go - but religious/spiritually significant names are also names that I love and feel help round out a name. The style we're looking for is a first name that is just for the baby - their individual piece to have, and then the middles names helps connect them back to their family or faith. So, in a way - the first name gives you wings to be your own person, the middle reminds you of the roots you came from. Love your top contenders.
My husband and I had a similar situation as well - you think you've settled on a name, and then you realize you've SETTLED FOR the name. It's totally nromal and healthy to want to reconsider a name you thought you liked now that things are getting more real as your due date approaches. It's also one thing to like a name and think it's "fine" - but quite another to really love it and want to use it for your child.
My suggestion would be to go look at "names related to - " for both Declan and Levi, you may seem something that has a similar feel that you hadn't thought of yet.
Both names are good - but unless you're really feeling them - you should at least consider other ones. Just my thoughts :)
I think that August James is better, and i believe August goes better with Jack. But both names are lovely.
