How about Zoete (pronounced 'zoo-teh')? It's a Dutch name, identical with the word for 'sweet'.

Many of these names that people think are modern coinages -- pointing to received info commonly repeated about various authors inventing names -- are actually much older.

Wendy and Cedric can both be found in early 17th C English parish registers; Miranda is found in mid 14th C Perigueux, France; Amanda shows up in England in the 13th C; and Cora and its diminutive Corina can be found in Imola, Italy, in the early 14th C.
