this is an old post, I know, but as a Kristine who goes by Kristin usually, I always get strange spellings.
Christine, Christine, Cristine, Cristina, and Kristina are givens, but "Kristin" gets a lot of Christin, Kristen, and Chriss10. Yes, CHRISS-10.
So I usually say I'm Ellen. Or Helen, Ellie, and Elwin, as the baristas hear.
