Everest Brett is absolutely cute in my opinion! I do think it is a little T heavy. The same issue with Everett Brett. Is Brett an honor name? If so, have you thought of using Breton? Everest Breton flows nicely as well.
Just a note, the villain in the Disney film of 101 Dalmatians is Cruella De Ville not Drusilla. :)
Alright, everyone can go home - looks like Lucubatrix did our jobs for us!
That's a hefty list! :/ good luck to your friends.
New: Yule! "new gift" pretty fitting for a Christmas baby
Amber Lamb was a nn I was given in high school. I've wanted to change Hunt for 20 years now due to a few negative experiences, one of which I was beaten unconscious and tossed into a pool. I never knew what to change it to and Lamb stuck. Even my family calls me by Lamb 10 years later.
As far as the donor's name, I don't know who will be the donor as I have a 2 year minimum waiting period until my finances are in order. I've thought about asking my good friends, which would make it Lichtenstein, Finch, or Riddle. I would never ask my ex - he has made it extremely clear that he no longer wants to be in my life otherwise it would be Gomez. I don't think I could use an anonymous donor, personally. I rather know the person and see if they were characteristically a good match. I.e. intelligent, well mannered etc. Someone I'd be comfortable letting my child get to know when they got to the curious stage of their life.
If I was to pick a last name from my family tree, I'd probably go with the maiden name of my grandmother on my mother's side. O'Doran. I am unfortunately only half Irish, but I think it'd still work alright for me.
I personally like the aesthetic of Avery Bowman. It's sweet, but still retains its spunk. Evelyn is a close 2nd. I think Brynn Bowman is okay, but I think Erin or Brianne sound better.
Any reason why? I could understand if the names were reversed, but Hunter Isaiah Lamb isn't bad... I don't think.
I agree with using Ivy Annalee. It flows nicely and is a strong name to grow into. I'm sure little baby Ivy would love it. Don't be upset for changing your mind on Annalee River. Sometimes after you meet the baby, you just realize they aren't a Mable at all but more of a Lucy. It happens :) As for your kiddos, I'd explain what Ivy actually is and explain how it is beautiful and not rashy :) They will be accustomed to it after a while. My brother was named Phillip until he was born and became a Cody. After a few weeks it was apparent that he was definitely a Cody and I haven't had an issue since with his name.
Good luck, keep us posted!
That is well thought out reasoning! I'm still coming into my own as a person (yes, yes I'm saying I'm not the most mature folk on the block!) So I can definitely see a correlation and truth be told, Jaesyn + Leander are the only names I picked back then that I still hold onto. The others I had were names like Michael Brandt, Jasmine Lexi, Maesyn Bennett (twin to Jaesyn if I ever had twin boys), and Jessica Laura.
I've been sorting and picking baby names since I was 13. I've gone through at least 30k different names and I suppose unique doesn't have to be messy spelling. It's the meaning of the name that matters and those can be as unique as a fingerprint. :)
It's unfortunate the SSA doesn't include ages, that'd be an extremely interesting graph!
I like my name, Amber, because it is classic and refers to colors/hues as well as tree sap which encompass two of my favorite things - nature and color.
I don't like it when I am called Amanda or Anderson, because Amanda is too plain and Anderson is a male name.
I was named before birth. My parents were sitting in their apartment at the kitchen table going over lists of names. Dad kept rejecting my mother's suggestions. The electricity was out so they had the room lit with candles scented Amber Vanilla. Dad was insistent on Nicole as my name, but mom was adamant and tossed out Emily and it was rejected. As a joke she tossed out Amber after the candles and he immediately agreed. Thus I was named after a candle from the dollar store and became one of the many Amber Nicoles in the US. I've personally met 7 others in my short life so far and that's probably the only thing I dislike about it.

Sigh-Anne, basically. And unfortunately it wasn't a joke! He likes to be the overbearing dominant male with the "my way or the highway" attitude.
Maybe I'll just get a cat named Jaesyn and not worry about him having to spell it for people :) I didn't realize how many people were against alternative spellings. Name purists, the lot of ya!! :)
Apparently I'm the black sheep here, because I love Adrielle, Ginette, Nadine, Rae and Serene best. Honestly I didn't think of denial when i saw Denia, but it still isn't my favorite. I think Deni is cute or Danie/Dinae/Deena. Are there any name requirements such as it has to be 2 syllables and flow with the name Tina? Or do you have a list of names you dislike?
This post is over a year old, y'all. I think she named the baby girl already. Hopefully with Rowan!
I'm unfortunately dyslexic so my kids are probably going to have to go by both names, because I guarantee I will mix the first and middle often. I might even combo them if I'm excited or upset. That's why I love pairing names that can match with any other name. Leander Everett is cute! I imagine he'd be a sweet gentleman that lives to get rowdy in his spare time between Tea and Piano. I'd call him Levett when he was in trouble.
with the flora theme*
Hazel, Aster, Jasmine**
Excuse my ignorance :)
Have you considered combining both grandmother's names?
Lily Rubelle? (Rubelle is a red coloring used in enameling and has latin roots meaning somewhat red).
You could also try similar names to Lily - Libby, Lynsey, Lacy, Lilibeth, Lili, Lila, Lillianna.
Or perhaps something keeping with the fauna theme - Ivy, Iris, Juniper, Rose, Violet, Poppy, Daisy, Laurel, Willow, Hazel, Astrid, Jasmine, Flora, Fern, Holly, Dalia, Cassia, etc. Annalise is also a cute name that could fit.
Out of the list you posted, my favorite is Annabelle Ruby although Lilybelle would be incredibly unique and it is very pretty to say.
